FOXBORO – The Patriots will be making several roster cuts this Saturday, but that didn’t stop them from adding two new players on Sunday.

The Pats signed linebacker Scooby Wright and running back Robert Martin. The team subsequently released defensive lineman Keionta Davis, receiver Maurice Harris and placed Brandon King on the season-ending injured reserve.

Wright was a seventh-round pick by Cleveland in 2016. He then appeared in 13 total games with the Arizona Cardinals in 2016 and 2017. The 24-year-old last played for the Arizona Hotshots of the AAF.

Martin is an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers. The back spent last season on the New York Giants practice squad. He was waived from New York this past March.

Davis suffered an injury last week against Carolina. The defensive end made the Patriots 53-man roster last season. He played in six games, making three starts and finished with six tackles in his only season with the Patriots. Harris, too, suffered an injury this summer as he was dealt with a lower body injury during joint practices with the Tennessee Titans. Harris and Davis were waived with injury designations.

King reportedly suffered a torn quad. He was carted off the field following a punt play against the Panthers.
