Ganja peddling: Three attack man, son in Chennai

CHENNAI: The Mylapore police arrested three men for attacking a man and his son when they confronted the men for peddling ganja. A court sent C Arunkumar, 37, E Tamilarasan, 21, of Mylapore and H Manoj to jail on Saturday.
The victims, Manikandan and his father Kumar of Nattan Thottam in Mylapore, picked up an argument with Arunkumar and Tamilarasan. The two along with Manoj brutally attacked the father-son duo.

Manikandan and Kumar managed to escape and reached the Government Royapettah Hospital. Manoj was also injured in the attack and went to the same hospital. Manikandan's relatives recognised Manoj there and attacked him. He was rescued and handed over to police. Based on his inputs, police arrested the otrher two, who were history-sheeters.
Tension prevailed at the hospital following the late-night attack on Manoj. To prevent any further clashes, the Mulapore police deployed about 60 personnel at the insitution.
