City-based CA secures AIR 3 in CMA final exams

Surat: A female chartered accountant (CA) from the city secured the third all-India rank in Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) exam, the results of which were announced on Friday. Swati Shah had earlier cleared CA securing AIR 21.
Currently working as a CA in a corporate company in the city, Swati scored 539 out of 800 marks in the CMA exam held in June 2019. She has scored the highest marks in Gujarat and plans to continue working as a CA.
“I wanted to study and gather knowledge of the field hence I did this course and cleared it. It was challenging to prepare for it while working but I utilised my weekends to prepare well,” Swati told TOI. Along with studies at weekends she daily spent two to three hours after job to prepare for the exam. Apart from Swati, Manan Shah secured AIR 4 and Nidhi Modi secured AIR 6 in CMA final exam. Among others who cleared the CMA intermediate exam Devansh Chandna secured AIR 3, Radhika Zavar was AIR 12, Akash Sharma AIR 14, Shashank Tamboli 28 AIR, and Mahesh Pujari 38 AIR.

Results of company secretary (CS) professional and CS executive, too, were announced on Sunday. In the CS professional (Old Course) exam, a total 127 students from the city have appeared, of whom, seven have cleared in the first attempt.
While in the CS executive exam, a total 138 students have appeared from the city and 10 could clear the exam in the first attempt.
