Siemon Mulder, 66, went missing on Monday after he went on a ride towards the town of Esk, an hour north-west of Brisbane, but failed to return.
His family raised the alarm and triggered a widespread police search as they surveyed the area by foot and helicopter until his body was discovered by another motorcycle rider.

The second rider came off his motorbike on the same corner on Maleny Stanley River Road at Booroobin, north of Brisbane, at 8.20am on Sunday when he slid down the embankment and discovered Mr Mulder's crashed Triumph.
The rider alerted police and Mr Mulder's body was soon found and airlifted from the bushland.
'Formal identification has to yet to be conducted however it is believed to be missing Sandgate man Siemon Mulder,' Queensland Police said in a statement.
Tragically Mr Mulder's body was found only a few days before his son Luke's wedding who travelled from the UK to search for his father alongside his brother Paul and mother Wendy.

'Siemon Mulder, our dad, was a true gentleman,' Luke told the Brisbane Times.
'He was a kind and gentle man who loved his motorcycles and always put his family first.'
'All of the family has been very touched by all the people who have helped with the search and the people around the world who have supported us.'
Despite the horrific recent events, Luke said he would treasure the memories of his father teaching how to ride and going on adventures together.
A friend of Mr Mulder's wife Wendy, Karen Rigney, has set up a GoFundMe campaign set up to support her friend.
'We just want to say how incredibly grateful the Mulder family is for all the support from the police and the greater community, this exhaustive search was on a massive scale and now there will be an autopsy to determine cause of death and a funeral to prepare for,' Ms Rigney wrote.
A report on the tragic accident is being prepared for the coroner.
