Delhi Public School registers win in Round Two

Pune: Delhi Public School defeated Nagarvala Day School 4-3 in the tie breaker after no goals were scored at regulation time in the second round of the Under-17 girls category of the Zilla Parishad football tournament in progress at St Patrick’s School on Saturday.

Trisha Lalwani, Prisha Panikar, Simran Kshetri and Lavisha Jain scored for Delhi Public School while Apurva Murkute, Mehek Gupta and Sayali Dormale scored for the Nagarvala girls.

In another match, The Orchid School, Baner defeated Stella Maris School 3-2 in the tie-breaker after no goals were scored at regulation time. Roma Bhutda, Parikshita Nandre and Aditi Lalwani scored for the Baner school while Siya Yadav and Soniya Devkar scored for Stella Maris. Later Vidya Bhavan beat City International School 1-0. Shrushti Aandhale scored for Vidya Bhavan in the 23rd minute.

In other action, Nagarvala Boarding beat Anglo Urdu Girls School 2-0 in the tie breaker. Dnyaneshwari Pandurkar and Disha Kale scored for Nagarvala.
