Taylor Swift blasts Scott Borchetta for selling her music to 'bully' Scooter Braun: 'He has 300 million reasons to conveniently forget those conversations'
Just weeks before the release of her seventh studio album, Lover, she was thrown into the deep end when she learnt that 'bully' Scooter Braun had bought her six former records from Scott Borchetta, the founder of her previous label, Big Machine Records.
And Sunday saw Taylor Swift confirm once again that she would in fact be re-recording her songs next year as soon as the contract was up.
Speaking to Tracy Smith on CBS Sunday, the 29-year-old music sensation revealed she only found out about the secret $300 million deal when it was news online.

Blindsided: Taylor Swift was quick to blast 'bully' Scooter Braun and her former record label founder, Scott Borchetta, on Sunday, when she revealed she only learnt of their $300 million deal online
'I found out when it was online, like, when it hit the news,' she said.
When asked if anyone in her inner circle was aware or whether anyone could smell the deal brewing, Taylor replied with a confident, 'no.'
The Lover singer went on to clarify she was aware a sale would be made in the future, but was blindsided to learn it was Scooter on the other end of the deal.

'Oh yeah!' she replied, agreeing that that in fact was the plan.
The Archer singer's confession comes after she told Robin Roberts on Good Morning America on Thursday that as of November 2020, she'd be back in the studio earning the rights back to her work.
'It's something that I'm very excited about doing because my contract says that starting November 2020, so next year, I can record albums 1-5 all over again,' she said.
'I'm very excited about it because I think that artists deserve to own their work. I just feel very passionately about that.'

Sincere? And while Taylor has continued to show her desire to never work with 'bully' Scooter Braun or have anything to do with him, the manager to Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande took to Twitter on Thursday to congratulate the singer on her new album
It's not sure when she'll contractually get the chance to re-record her sixth album, Reputation.
It's also unknown the specific clauses in the contract in terms of how different the songs have to sound from the originals.
