MANGALURU: After numerous complaints from the public against online food delivery app executives of reckless riding on city roads, P S Harsha, city police commissioner, said that he will issue guidelines to them.
The complaints were aired during the weekly phone-in programme organised by the Mangaluru city police on Friday. Harsha directed traffic police to look into the issue of reckless riding by food delivery executives. He also directed Manjunath Shetty, ACP (traffic), to release all the vehicles which are seized for traffic or other violations, and parked inside and around the police station in the city, after due procedure, .
A caller accused the traffic police of corruption. Harsha said that any complaints against the police can be directly brought to the notice of a higher police official, or they can also lodge a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Callers complained that bus trips on route 13 and 19 were reduced at noon. Parking of concrete mixer trucks in residential areas and one-and-a-half rate charged by autorickshaws during the day at Shaktinagara were also brought up by callers.
Some callers advised that the Mangaluru city traffic police install ‘no parking’ boards.
