GREATER NOIDA: An NPCL staff died under mysterious circumstances after allegedly falling from the 11th floor of Migsun Green Mansion in Surajpur on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Surjeet (35), from West Bengal, who lived in Delta-1 with his family. The incident occurred around 6pm on Thursday when Surjeet had come to one of his colleague’s house in the high-rise society.
“A carpenter named Zakir Hussain had spotted him first. Following his call to Dial 100, a police team reached the spot and conducted a primary investigation. It revealed that the deceased had come to visit one of his friends named Utpal, who lived on the 11th floor of the society,” said Jitendra Dikshit, SHO, Surajpur police station.
He added that Utpal informed police that Surjeet had come over to his house and probably fell from the bathroom window.
The SHO said the bathroom has a low-base window and that Surjeet probably slipped while peeping from it. Police said they have received no complaints from the family and the autopsy report has revealed ante-mortem injuries as the cause of death.
“Surjeet’s family has revealed that Utpal and he were friends for the last 12 years,” said Dikshit.
