Police are probing shocking video of an altercation between a nightclub goer and a bouncer in the heart of Darwin. 

The incident unfolded on Mitchell Street at 1am on Sunday when a fight allegedly broke out between a group of revellers and three security guards, according to the NT News.

One bouncer allegedly picked up a clubber, put him over his head and slammed him into the ground.

The man was knocked unconscious.

Video footage showed the alleged attack, with the victim unable to get off the road.

The woman who filmed the footage the incident said it 'made her sick'. 

Acting Senior Sergeant Joshua Cunningham told the publication police were trying to find the alleged victim.

He said the man eventually regained consciousness and left before emergency services arrived.
