Not Cool
Conflicting reports about the financial background of Philippe Coutinho’s loan move to Bayern Munich have emerged.
Not cool, Barcelona.
Not cool.
Klopp Thankful
Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is thankful for his Liverpool front-three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
Mane and Firmino both netted against Southampton at the weekend while Salah has been the Premier League’s top-scorer for the past two seasons.
“A lot of times in my life I had sensational players always [but] not world-class players,” Klopp told Liverpool’s official club website.
“Now, thank God I have them and they make the difference. We don’t have to talk about that.
“Sadio Mane, Bobby Firmino, Mo Salah – these guys in the last situation are really outstanding.
“They were a constant threat, however tired they are. That’s brilliant and, of course, made the difference. We don’t have to talk about that.”

Philippe Coutinho Confirmed
Barcelona have confirmed Philippe Coutinho’s loan move to Bayern Munich.
The German giants now have the option to purchase Coutinho for €120m at the end of the season.
They have also forked out an €8.5m loan fee and will pay his wages in full.
Mane Case
Sadio Mane is making a case to be considered Liverpool’s main star ahead of Mohamed Salah according to Jamie Redknapp.
Mane opened the scoring against Southampton at the weekend as the Reds continued their perfect start to the campaign.
“The 27-year-old is producing magic on the pitch and would walk into any team,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail.
“The statistics highlight his impact.
“No one has scored more Premier League goals than him in 2019. He took his tally to 15 on Saturday, and not a single one of those has come from the penalty spot.
“In Liverpool’s last 30 games, Mane has scored 20 goals, Salah has put away 12 and Firmino eight.
“It is three years ago this week that Mane made his league debut for Liverpool, scoring the fourth goal in a 4–3 win at Arsenal.
“He is now performing as well as he has ever done under Jurgen Klopp.”

Balotelli Move
Former Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli has returned to Italy to join hometown club Brescia.
Balotelli, who was released by French side Marseille in June, has signed a three-year deal with the newly-promoted Serie A outfit.
The 29-year-old is reportedly keen to reclaim a spot in the Italy squad ahead of Euro 2020 despite not featuring since September.
Matip and Mane Praise
Joel Matip and Sadio Mane make Garth Crooks’ BBC Team of the Week after Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Southampton.
The duo helped maintain the Reds’ perfect start to the new campaign.
“Whenever Matip plays for Liverpool he appears to be the one who is making all the last-ditch tackles, getting the ball smashed in his face and coming to Liverpool’s aid in a crisis,” Crooks says of the Cameroonian centre-back.
“Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk looks beautifully groomed, hair swept back in a ponytail, strolling around looking like he’s just returned from a week in Vegas!
“Matip must get Van Dijk to do his share of the heavy lifting when the Reds are up against it away from home.
“I know Matip is the junior partner here but, come on, fair is fair.”
He also gave Jurgen Klopp a Mane warning, adding: “[He] needs to be very careful not to overplay Mane. If he does and loses the player through injury, he could live to regret it.”

Sturridge Dance
Trabzonspor supporters want Daniel Sturridge to sign for them this summer.
Like, really sign for them.
Not sure a lot of them have the dance down, though.
More work needed!
Klopp Gesture
What a gesture from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp!
Klopp sent Harry Wilson a selfie of him clenching his fist with a message of congratulations after he scored his first Premier League goal for Bournemouth at the weekend.
We need to find that photograph!
Can we get #FindTheKloppSelfie trending?
Coutinho Number
Philippe Coutinho will reportedly wear the number 10 shirt at Bayern Munich as the Brazilian closes in on a loan move from Barcelona.
Coutinho wore the same digit during his five-year stint at Liverpool.
He joined Barcelona from the Reds in January 2018 for a whopping £142m but has struggled to make an impact at the Nou Camp.
Ryan Sessegnon Watched
Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool were tracking new Tottenham Hotspur signing Ryan Sessegnon.
Sessegnon, 19, completed a £25m switch this summer after suffering relegation with Fulham last season.
Assessing the Premier League’s big-hitters, Carragher said: “This summer they have invested in the squad, but how many of the recruits did Manchester City or Liverpool want?
“They are the clubs Pochettino is measuring his squad against now.
“I know Liverpool watched Ryan Sessegnon, and saw another player for the future rather than someone who could go straight into the team at left-back.
“Pochettino is again working with a signing he is expected to develop over time rather than players who can make an immediate impact.”
