Committee formed to resolve grievances of outsourced power employees

A committee has been formed to resolve the problems of outsourced power personnel.  The department will take action based on the report of the committee. The committee will also hold a discussion with the office-bearers of the outsourced power employees association.  Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh said this during a discussion with the office bearers of the outsourced employees association.

Rs 4 lakh to kin of outsourced workers in case of accidental death Energy Minister Singh informed that there is a provision of giving Rs 4 lakh to the kin of skilled, unskilled personnel working through outsourced agency in the event of death due to electrical accident while working in power distribution companies.

He informed that financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh is granted for more than 60 percent disability and Rs. 59 thousand 100 for 40 to 60 percent disability. Outsourced employees to be insured The Energy Minister told that all the outsourced employees will be insured so that they do not have to face financial problems during illness.

There will also be a provision for 15 days leave in the year. Safety equipment, uniforms and identity cards will also be provided.
Training will be imparted to them in order to reduce accidents. Only trained personnel will be permitted to climb on the electric pole.
Singh said that other demands of outsourced personnel will also be considered positively.

The association’s office-bearers apprised with their problems at the meeting. Secretary Energy Sukhvir Singh, OSD Prashant Chaturvedi, State Vice-President of Outsourced Power Employees Association Rahul Malviya, executive body member and Media in charge Dinesh Sisodia, Ujjain District President Sheikh Shariq and Dewas District President Kuldeep Singh Rajput were present.
