SWR decides to run Belagavi-Bengaluru superfast express regularly

The South Western Railway has decided run the Belagavi-KSR Bengaluru Tatkal superfast express special train as regular train. In a release, the SWR said that the train has been popular since its introduction on June 29 with an occupancy rate of 100% in sleeper class and more than 92% in 2AC/3AC. On Saturday and Sunday occupancy is 100% in all classes.

β€œIn view of the high patronage of this special train by the people of Belagavi, Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi directed the Railways to run it as train number 20654/20653 Belagavi – KSR Bengaluru – Belagavi Superfast Express from November 1,” said SWR.

The train will leave Belagavi at 9 p.m. and reach Bengaluru at 7 a.m. In the opposite direction, it leaves Bengaluru at 9 p.m and reaches Belagavi at 7 a.m. It will stop at Dharwad, Hubballi, Davangere, Arsikere, Tumakuru and Yeshwanthpur.

The train will have a composition of one 1st AC Coach, one AC 2-tier Coach, two AC 3-tier Coaches, seven 2nd Class sleeper coaches, two general second class coaches and two 2nd class coaches with luggage cum brake-van.
