Mercedes-AMG GT R Leaves Subtlety Aside For A Wide Body Upgrade

Ferrada’s latest encounter with the Mercedes-AMG GT R has resulted to yet another exciting video. The German supercar, encountered on one of their trips, features plenty of aftermarket mods from several companies, with Fostla being behind the build.

One of the most striking upgrades came from Prior Design, in the shape of their wide body kit.

Taking a closer look at it on their official website reveals a €15,390 ($17,222) price tag for the whole bunch. Spending that much will get your AMG GT R extended fenders, front apron, side skirt attachment, rear diffuser, bonnet, side gills and modified bumpers.

Since the project is being marketed by Ferrada, it’s pretty obvious that it sports a set of their wheels. More specifically, a 10-spoke design from the Forge-8 series measuring 10×20- and 12×20-inch, front and rear, respectively, that can be ordered in one of several finishes available, including the matte black on this Merc.

In spite of the menacing looks, the AMG GT R’s 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 has been left all alone. This means it churns out 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 318 km/h (198 mph).
