Sumalatha, Mandya MP, expressed confidence about the CBI doing a “thorough probe” into the phone-tapping issue.
She was addressing presspersons at Panakanahalli in Mandya taluk on Sunday. “My phone [mobile] was also tapped during electioneering and I had filed a complaint [against the then Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government]. But none took it seriously.” She accused Deputy Commissioner N. Manjushree and Superintendent of Police D. Shivaprakash, who have since been transferred, of allegedly favouring her opponent during the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.
