Koenigsegg only ever built three examples of the CCXR Trevita, yet a tuning company in California has just developed its own titanium exhaust system for the ultra rare Swedish hypercar.
Boden Autohaus clearly thought the stock exhaust system of the CCXR Trevita could be improved upon. While we don’t know whether or not it is more efficient and helps extract more power from the engine, it certainly looks the part.
The exhaust appears free of any mufflers or catalytic converters and is essentially a straight-pipe. It is made up of dozens of tiny sections of titanium that have been welded together to create something more akin to an art piece than a functional exhaust system. Nevertheless, even though it’s an aftermarket product, it does feature Koenigsegg’s flying ghost logo.
As you’d imagine, the fitment of a free-flowing exhaust to the Trevita’s 1004 HP, 4.8-liter twin-supercharged V8 results in an absolute symphony. We have a sneaky suspicion that authorities in California probably wouldn’t be too happy to learn about the lack of catalytic converters, but we won’t tell them if you don’t.
We understand that the CCXR Trevita in question is the one previously owned by Floyd Mayweather. The boxing megastar paid $4.8 million for it, but in 2017, it was auctioned off for a mere $2.6 million. The car is currently owned by a man who goes by the alias slipperywhenwayne on Instagram and seems to have sent the car off for its custom exhaust just a few days after taking delivery.
