HYDERABAD: Three members of a Pardhi gang who were involved in 12 burglary cases in various parts of the state were nabbed by Hyderabad police. The police also recovered the stolen gold, silver and a car from them.
According to the police, the three were involved in a burglary at a house in Tarnaka on July 26. The burglars gained entry into the house by breaking open the kitchen door and stole gold ornaments worth Rs 1.40 lakh, a diamond ring and cash.
During the investigation, the police used CCTV footage and mobile tracing to deduce that the accused belonged to Madhya Pradesh.
A team of policemen went to Madhya Pradesh and nabbed Bhopal residents, Manisha Disco, Ali Raza Khan and Roopa Bai on August 7 and brought them to Hyderabad. Later, the accused were taken into custody. During questioning, they confessed that they had committed 12 more burglaries in the state. The accused were taken to Bhopal again and the stolen property was recovered.
The accused committed offences in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda and Warangal in Andhra Pradesh. They had stolen a total of 1.2 kg of gold ornaments, 7.3 kg of silver and Rs 8,000 cash. After the arrest, the police recovered 0.69 kg of gold and 2 kg of silver with a combined worth of Rs 22 lakhs.
According to the police, Manisha Disco is the prime accused. Her associates, Bheemlesh, Timtim and Moukham are absconding. The accused had never come under the police dragnet in the past.
