Balaji-Vardhan topple top seeds Jebavy-Middelkoop in doubles semis

Chandigarh,  Indian tennis pair N Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan toppled top seeded pair of Roman Jebavy of Czech Republic and Matwe Middelkoop of Netherlands in straight sets 7-6 (2), 6-3 in the doubles semi-final of the €46,600 ATP Challenger in Meerbusch in Germany.

The match for a final berth lasted one hour and 12 minutes. The Indian pair fired seven aces and committed two double faults. Their first service was impressive with 80 per cent in. They won 35 points out of 44 on their first service and 7 from 11 on their second service.

Balaji-Vardhan saved one break points out of two and won three out of 11 break points. Jebavy-Middelkoop committed five double faults and unleashed two aces. They won 21 points out of 37 on their first service and 15 out of 29 on their second service. They saved eight out of 11 breakpoints and won one out of two break points.
