Hyderabad: Duo nabbed after bid to rob ATM at Mir Chowk fails

HYDERABAD: Two persons, who made a vain bid to steal cash from a Canara Bank ATM at Mir Chowk, were nabbed by the police on Saturday. They were formally arrested on Saturday.
The Mir Chowk police said that one of the accused, Mohammed Asad entered the ATM centre in the wee hours of Thursday and tried to prise open the cash-dispensing machine by breaking a portion of it using a hammer and chisel, while the other accused, Abdul Asad, was waiting outside.
However, they could not access the cash chest, located deep inside the machine.
The duo had covered their faces while committing the offence, which took place between 2 am and 3 am. The entire incident of them attempting to steal cash was captured by the CCTV inside the ATM.

After failing to get the cash, the two accused left the location in their vehicle.
By tracking the vehicle used by the accused, Mir Chowk police arrested the two persons from Moghalpura and Falaknuma. They were subsequently arrested.
