Education is a priority sector for government, he says

Minister for Human Resources Development (HRD) A. Suresh on Friday urged members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to educate the student community on job prospects in the field by organising career awareness programmes.

Addressing an inaugural session of ‘Gyana Utkarsha’, a two-day State-level conference organised by ICAI, the Minister said that he wanted the CAs to create awareness among students, especially among those from government institutions, regarding the opportunities offered by chartered accountancy across the globe. Around 350 delegates from across the country participated in the meeting.

Chairman of ICAI’s Southern India Regional Council Jaman K. George, organising committee chairperson Yarlagadda Nagavalli, ICAI Central Council members D. Prasanna Kumar and M.P. Vijay Kumar, branch secretary K. Purnachandra Rao, and ex officio member T. China Mastan and others were present.
