Stripes can never go out of fashion, that’s what the B-Town actresses have proved by sporting them in their recent outings. What’s interesting is that these beauties are slaying the stripes in various patterns, shapes, and colours. A few days ago, Raveena Tandon and Dia Mirza were seen in striped outfits at the airport. While Dia completed her look with taupe sandals, the latter opted for sneakers. Malaika Arora was spotted giving some major fashion goals on how to rock a monochrome look on a dinner date. She wore a white shirt and black and white striped pants. For the promotion of her film, Tamannaah Bhatia picked out a striped concept pantsuit. She completed her look by adding a flare on the sides and a plunging neckline. Sonakshi Sinha chose a white cropped top with a white and beige flared skirt with oval lines. She accessorised her look with a chunky neck-piece.

Designer Nachiket Barve says that stripes are classic and they always come and go out of style. “What’s important is the stripes that you choose should work for you. During a night out, one should opt for multi-coloured stripes or with some kind of beading on it. If you are going for a formal occasion, then a deeper colour goes well, brighter ones work for the evening look depending on the fabric and whether the lines are horizontal or vertical.”

He also shares tips to keep in mind while sporting such outfits. “You should not wear horizontal stripes if you are a plus size. If it is done absolutely right then it makes a person look thinner. The colour combinations are also important. Stripes in white and navy blue works best. Otherwise tonal stripe also works quite nicely. A good way to accessorise it is with a solid colour trinket, for example, the tribal jewellery.”
