Nagpur: City police have rounded up two persons, including a minor, for their alleged involvement in the murder of Sahil Tambe, whose body was found at Siddharth Nagar in south Nagpur on Friday. Tambe, having cases of burglary against him including thefts at temple, had a rope tied around his neck and some pebbles and a stick packed in the mouth.
Apart from the minor, Ajni police have taken into custody Sumit Pingle for interrogation. It’s learnt Pingle too had a couple of assault cases registered against him, including one against Sahil’s father Pramod. Pingle was convicted for attempt to murder on Pramod but had got bail from the high court.
The body, spotted behind a hall on the Ring Road between Manewada and Omkar Nagar, indicated the murder had taken place the previous night.
Police said since Pingle and Sahil’s father Pramod had a tiff in the past, Pingle and Sahil too had locked horns over this enmity. Pingle, Tambe and the minor had liquor at the desolate place. During the drunken brawl Pingle and the minor strangled Tambe to death and also inserted sticks into his mouth to ensure he didn’t make any noise.
