PATNA: State labour resources department is likely to cancel affiliation of six
Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) for alleged use of unfair means during examinations.
“For conducting practical
examination under annual and semester systems, altogether 1,157 ITIs – 1,121 private and 36 government – were made self-testing centres. It was found that unfair means were used during examinations at six centres,” labour resources minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said on Friday.
He added, “Altogether 138 candidates were expelled for using unfair means and not submitting the assignment on due date. Clarification has been sought from 246 private ITIs for not submitting the assignments on the designated date. The centre superintendent of government ITI-Darbhanga and a private
ITI have been suspended on the basis of complaints registered against them by the flying squad.”
The minister said 257 flying squads and 10 senior flying squads were formed for monitoring the examinations in the state.
Also, proposals to cancel the examinations conducted in four private ITIs in
Muzaffarpur district were made following raids conducted by teams appointed by the government.
The minister said in all-India industrial examinations conducted from July 22 to 27, 50,000 of 1,50,000 students had failed.
