Update | Maharashtra: The Maharashtra government said on that it had released Rs 154 crore to district collectors for disbursal of aid to flood-affected people in western Maharashtra and elsehwere, said Chief secretary Ajoy Mehta. Flood-affected families will get Rs 10,000 each in rural areas and Rs 15,000 in urban areas, he said.

Update | Maharashtra: The National Disaster Response Force have rescued 2,000 people from Kolhapur, and 8,000 people from the Sangli district, according to a tweet by ANI.
Update | Mahrashtra: Rs 1 crore has been raised in Baramati for flood relief after Sharad Pawar appealed for donations. He had made the appeal at a meeting at the Agriculture Produce Market Committee in the morning and within hours, individuals as well as local organizations donated money, raising Rs 1 crore, he tweeted.
Update | Karnataka: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa on August 9 announced Rs five lakh to next to the kin of people killed in the flood and rain-related incidents in Karnataka, where 12 people have lost their lives, according to a report by PTI.
Kerala's Cheif Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that 28 people have died due to flooding from heavy rainfall in the state, and that 27 have been injured and 7 are missing, according to a tweet from ANI.
