What actions have been taken against dyeing units, Cong MLA asks PPCB

Ludhiana: Congress MLA from Ludhiana east Sanjay Talwar has written to Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), seeking a reply regarding dyeing and washing units which are operational in his constituency and the city.
Talwar has asked seven questions from PPCB, demanding a written reply by August 9.

He has sought details about total number of dyeing and washing units in Ludhiana city along with their complete address and names. He has asked which units have taken permission from PPCB for disposing their water in MC sewerage lines and what is the allowed quantity and whether PPCB is charging anything from these units.
He has sought details of units which are releasing treated water in MC lines and how many are dumping untreated water in the sewerage system. He has asked the PPCB whether it has taken any action against such units for disposal of untreated water in the sewerage system. He has demanded the names of such units in writing.
