The date of National Film Awards 2019 presentation is yet to be decided.The announcement of the 66th National Film Awards were held at Shastri Bhawan in New Delhi. Earlier today, the jury members submitted their report to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar with their final recommendations in various categories.
Director Rahul Rawail presented the list along with other jury members.
Every year, the awards are announced in April and the ceremony is held on May 3. But this year, the awards were postponed in the wake of the general elections.
Prakash Javadekar told PTI, “They made a lot of efforts for the last two months. I am very sure that they would have picked the best films, the best directors. They will announce that at the press conference today. This is 66th year of film awards and they have become a prestigious institute.”

Aijaz Khan on National Film Awards for Hamid

Neena Gupta on National Film Awards for Badhaai Ho

Amit Sharma on National Film Awards for Badhaai Ho
"I am speechless I had no idea about awards and business when I was making this film. The response that I got for this film was overwhelming. National Film Award is a prestigious award and it really means a lot for everyone. It was such a simple subject and story. We have made this with utmost honesty," Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma told indianexpress.com
Swanand Kirkire on National Film Awards for Chumbak and Padman
"This has to be one of the best days of my life that two of my films won National Film Awards. For Chumbak, this has come as the biggest surprise. I don't know what to say because acting was something I never thought I would do. I don't know how to respond. This is overwhelming," Swanand Kirkire told indianexpress.com.
R Balki on National Film Award for Padman

Ayushmann Khurrana on winning National Film Award for Best Actor
In a statement, Ayushmann Khurrana said, "It’s truly humbling and hugely gratifying to win the coveted National Award.
