Moderate to heavy showers at most places in state

During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains have been witnessed across many parts of Madhya Pradesh. Weather Department has issued warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in some parts of Anuppur, Dindori, Umaria, Shahdol, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Seoni, Sagar, Damoh, Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, Hoshangabad, Betul, Harda, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Badwani, Dhar, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Rajgarh, Guna, Sheopurkalan, Ashok Nagar districts.

Rains along with thunder activities are likely in maximum places of Bhopal, Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Sehore, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Ashok Nagar, Ujjain, Neemuch, Ratlam, Shajapur, Dewas, Mandsaur, Agar, Hoshangabad, Betul, Harda, Indore, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Badwani, Burhanpur, Sheopurkalan, Bhind, Morena, Anuppur, Dindori, Umaria, Shahdol, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi Singrauli, Panna, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Chhattarpur, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Katni districts.

According to Skymet Weather, the Deep Depression which has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal will eventually move in the west direction. On moving inland, this system is expected to weaken due to lack of moisture and unfavourable weather conditions.
Despite its degeneration, heavy to very heavy rains will lash the southern districts of the state for the next 24 hours that might lead to the flood-like situation in many places. Mandla, Betul, Hoshangabad, Khargone, Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat and Khandwa will be most affected by these rains.

Whereas, moderate rains with few heavy spells will be seen over rest parts of the state during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, the intensity of rains will decrease over East Madhya Pradesh while moderate showers will continue over West Madhya Pradesh.
Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Dewas are likely to see good rains on August 8.

By August 9, rain activities will reduce further over few pockets of the state with light to moderate rains over West Madhya Pradesh. However, East Madhya Pradesh will see isolated light rains only.

In last twenty four hours, it rained in most parts of the State. Rains lashed Silwani, Pachmarhi, Multai (10 cm each), Suwasara (8 cm), Biora, Neemuch, Udaipura, Katangi (7 cm each), Bichia, Garoth, Amba, Bareli (6 cm each) respectively. Weather Department said that a system got developed over Bay of Bengal. Moreover, trough line is passing through Satna. Likewise, one system is over North West Madhya Pradesh. Therefore state is going to receive bountiful rainfall.

On Wednesday, rains lashed Pachmarhi (93 mm), Hoshangabad (12 mm), Betul (25 mm), Sagar (13mm), Damoh (12 mm), Shajapur (37 mm), Ratlam (21.6 mm), Gwalior (13.6 mm), Jabalpur (18mm), Sheopurkalan (26mm) etc.
