Knife seized from passenger's shoes at Ahmedabad airport

AHMEDABAD: Mijanur siddque Ali Rehman was caught with a knife hidden in his shoes in the premises of Ahmedabad airport on Wednesday. Caught by CISF personal he was handed over to airport police for further interrogation. Different agencies have reached airport police station to interrogate the accused.
Inspector executive Uttam Kumar Goswami was deployed at the airport on August 7. The accused was boarding a flight from Ahmedabad to Guwahati.

"When frisked, a loud beep came near his shoes. When the officials checked they could see a knife on the screen. He was immediately taken into custody. The accused is a resident of Assam's Dhubri district.
Inspector KC Rathwa of Airport police station said this is a serious matter. "The accused said that the knife was in shoes by mistake but police found it hard to believe."
