A driver has unleashed a furious rant at a cyclist during a morning commute.
In the video, which was uploaded to social media, the driver was heard swearing at the cyclist who was riding down Wilson Street in Newtown, Sydney.
'Why do we have the bike lane you f***ing dog if you don't use it?' the irate driver yelled as he followed the cyclist.
Despite the angry driver's outburst, the cyclist does appear to be riding in a lane marked with a bicycle on it.
The blow-up shows just how controversial the roll-out of cycle lanes is across Australian cities - and how confusing the road rules governing them are.

In the video, which was uploaded to social media, the driver was heard swearing at the cyclist who was riding down Watkin Street in Newtown, Sydney

Despite the driver's expletive-laden rant, the cyclist appeared to be travelling in a lane marked with a bicycle on it
The man continued to speak in Arabic as he followed the cyclist.
The driver's anger intensified as he screamed: 'You dog's son, use the bike lane!!'
Eventually the cyclist, who was wearing a fluorescent yellow jacket, merged over to the left-hand side of the road.
The driver sped up and overtook the cyclist while swearing at him under his breath.
'F*** your grandad's grandad in the morning ya f***ing…. You s***,' he said.

Another user said informed the driver that the street had a one way cyclist lane, meaning the cyclist was in the right for riding on the main road
But after video of the driver's explosion was shared to social media, many fellow motorists pointed out the driver's anger may actually have been misplaced.
There is a bike lane on the right, but is only for cyclists travelling in the other direction.
Cyclists heading the same way as the van are supposed to share the street with regular traffic.
'It's only a one way bike lane and the road markings can't make it any more obvious,' one user commented.
'You too simple to see the picture of a bike on the road buddy?' another person said.
'Old mate might want to go back and re-do his licence if he can't understand what road markings mean,' another wrote.
