Varanasi: 10-year-old boy missing from madrassa; maulana held

VARANASI: A 10-year-old student of a madrassa, located under Kotwali city of neighbouring Jaunpur district in the Varanasi division of Uttar Pradesh, is reported to have gone missing for the last three days. The police have registered a case against the maulana (religious priest) of the madrassa, on Thursday.
According to station officer (SO), Kotwali, Pawan upadhayay, Jamia Tusshaik Asad Alamdeen madrassa is located at Tarapur Takia of the Kotwali police station. Around 50 students are registered in the madrassa.
It is reported that although the kid went missing three days earlier, the parents got to know about their missing kid only on Thursday. They searched the kid but when their efforts proved futile, they approached the police and lodgeda case.

The family members of the kids are alleging that the maulana (religious priest) is responsible for it. On their complaint, the police have registered a case against the maulana.
According to the police, “On the parents' complaint, maulana, Mohammad Hasan, aged around 30 and a native of Ambedkar Nagar, has been arrested and further inquiry has been initiated.”
