Prince George favoured the high street today as he was seen in a H&M top - while he cheered on his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, at their charity sailing regatta.   

George, six, showed off a gappy grin, where he is missing his two top front teeth, as he joined Kate and William, 37, on the Isle of Wight, matching his mother in a striped £10 H&M top, and donning a captain hat. 

Meanwhile Princess Charlotte, four, went for a designer look as she donned a £128 blue Ralph Lauren dress with a Peter Pan collar, flashing a sweet smile as her parents took part in the star-studded King's Cup race around Cowes.

It's not the first time George has been seen in a H&M polo shirt, last month he wore a green £5.99 polo shirt as he cheered on his father at the polo.

While Charlotte's designer fashion choices always seem to be a sell out - the £70 Trotters' Lily Rose Betsy dress she wore in her birthday photos in May flew off the shelves.

Kate wore a sartorially apt ensemble as she took to the sea, wearing a striped top, a cap, and navy jeans as she steered the ship

The brother and sister watched the races today with their mother - with Prince George in a high street top and Charlotte wearing a designer dress with blue and white stripes

Meanwhile William matched his family in a checked blue and white shirt and cap, as they took to the waters together

Prince George and his sister Princess Charlotte were there to watch to watch the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge compete in a charity sailing race on the Isle of Wight today, and of course the little ones were wearing nautical outfits for their family day out.

Charlotte's blue and white striped dress is by Ralph Lauren Kids, but fans of the Cambridge family style will be happy to hear George's tee was a total bargain.

It's from H&M and we love the navy stripes, polo shirt collar and little embroidered anchor. Check out his captain's hat too!

The top is part of a two-pack set and it's currently $14.99, so royal style doesn't get much more affordable than that.

Both dressed for a day at sea in nautical stripes the brother and sisters looked like they were having fun as they played with friends. Prince George paired his H&M top with light brown shorts and navy plimsolls, while his sister wore a whistle round her neck.

Earlier on the day George stood alongside Michael Middleton and his young pals on the boat, as he watched the regatta take place. 

William and Kate competed against celebrities including adventurer Bear Grylls, comedian John Bishop and Olympic champion rower Helen Glover in the inaugural King's Cup today.

The mother-of-three Kate changed out of her nautical arrival outfit of a striped shirt and navy trousers later and into a practical polo shirt, and shorts.

Arriving earlier in the day she donned a sporty look in a pair of £150 L.K.Bennett trousers and a £135 colourful frilled top by Sandro, as she arrived at The Royal Yacht Squadron.

She accessorised with dainty heart earrings by Kiki McDonough and coordinated her look with a casual pair of white trainers by Superga. 

She later changed into shorts and a polo shirt, coordinating with William as they posed for pictures alongside the King's Cup charity ambassadors, Fara Williams, Dan Snow, Bear Grylls, John Bishop, Katie Thistleton, and Helen Glover. 

For her final look Kate wore a Nike Jacket, Sebago Bala boat shoes and J Brand jeans as she steered a dragon boat before a race against her husband across the Dalvay lake.

The Duchess of Cambridge put on a sartorially apt display in two ensembles as she prepared to go head-to-head against husband Prince William in a major sailing regatta in the Isle of Wight today, with George and Charlotte watching from the window above

Members of the public were invited to watch the racing from grandstands on the shore and enjoy family-friendly activities along the seafront.

The royals hosted the inaugural regatta The King’s Cup to raise awareness and funds for eight of Their Royal Highnesses’ patronages.

The event saw The Duke and Duchess go head to head as skippers of individual sailing boats, in an eight boat regatta.

The winning team was awarded The King’s Cup, a historic trophy first presented by King George V at Cowes’ Royal Yacht Squadron in 1920.

The young royal looked at home as he took to the captain's seat, before coming over shy and hiding behind a post on the boat

Still smiling! The Duchess of Cambridge didn't let the loss dampen her spirits and saw the funny side as she was handed the wooden spoon, left. The team skippered by adventurer Bear Grylls won the race and the adventurer was given the trophy 

Despite the loss the royals put on a sportsman like display at the prize-giving ceremony, congratulating winning skipper Bear Grylls as he was presented with the trophy. Other stars taking part included the comedian John Bishop and Olympic rower Helen Glover. 

After lifting the trophy, Grylls appeared to suggest that George had eaten an ant when he said: 'And also Prince George, your first ant you ate today. And that is a great moment. Well done you.' 

Shortly before the ceremony Kate had her hands full with cheeky Charlotte, who was seen sticking her tongue out at spectators while Kate tried - in vain - to get her to wave instead.  

The eight boats which took part in the prestigious event each represented one of the charities that are being supported this year by Their Royal Highnesses.

Later in the morning Kate changed into a white polo shirt and navy shorts, matching William, 36, who wore the same uniform ensemble. They are seen posing alongside the King's Cup charity ambassadors, Fara Williams for @CentrepointUK, Dan Snow for @LDNairamb, Bear Grylls for @Tusk_org, John Bishop for @ActionAddiction, Katie Thistleton for @Place2Be, and Helen Glover for @AFNCCF

These include Child Bereavement UK, Centrepoint, London’s Air Ambulance Charity 30th Anniversary Campaign, and Tusk – four causes of which The Duke is Patron.

The Duchess supported four of her patronages: Action on Addiction, Place2Be, the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, and The Royal Foundation in connection with Her Royal Highness’s longstanding work on Early Years.

England Women's footballer Fara Williams will represent Centrepoint, while television presenter Dan Snow will race for London's Air Ambulance Charity's 30th anniversary campaign.

Grylls skippered a yacht for wildlife conservation organisation Tusk. Bishop competed for Action on Addiction, BBC presenter Katie Thistleton for Place2Be, and Glover for the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.
