FALL RIVER — A 14th letter of non-opposition that could pave the way for another marijuana dispensary in the city is in the works and this time a former mayor could be the recipient.

Will Flanagan, an attorney, self-described marijuana consultant and mayor of the city from 2010 to 2014, has incorporated a company called Cosmopolitan Dispensary Inc.

According to the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’s corporation database, Flanagan registered the company July 10 and is listed as the company’s president and director.

Gevorg Saribekyan, of Aurora, Colorado is listed as a treasurer and director, with Sunny Aroustamian of Brockton as vice president, secretary and director.

Flanagan declined to confirm to The Herald News whether he was receiving a letter of non-opposition and host agreement from Mayor Jasiel Correia II.

“I’m not commenting on any story regarding cannabis,” said Flanagan.

Correia responded to a telephone call with a text message but has not responded to the question of whether it’s Flanagan who is receiving the city agreements necessary to obtain a state license to open a dispensary.

Correia confirmed earlier this week that he was planning to sign another letter of non-opposition during an interview regarding the brother of his girlfriend, Peter Fernandes, receiving two letters and two host agreements to open marijuana dispensaries.

Thursday morning, Corporation Counsel Joseph Macy acknowledged another letter of non-opposition but said he was unsure if it had been signed yet by the mayor.
