Diwakar Singh ousts top seed Baitha at squash tournament

Fifth-seededDiwakar Singh of Uttar Pradesh fought back from the brink to shocktop seed Rahul Baitha of Maharashtra and advance to the boys under-19 semi-finals of the Otters Club Open Squash Tournament here on Thursday.

Diwakar won 7-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-,9, 11-4 to enter the last four.

In another boys' under-19 quarter-final tie, lower- ranked Advait Adik of Maharashtra stunned third-seeded statemate Suraj Chand11-7, 11-4, 11-1 to advance to the semis.

Second seeded junior Tushar Shahani of Maharashtra lived up to his billing and tamed Avinash Yadav, also of Maharashtra, 11-2, 11-7, 11-5 victory to alao seal a place in the semi-finals.
