NEW DELHI: Applicants who were not successful in getting a flat in
Delhi Development Authority's (
DDA)
Housing Scheme 2019 will get their registration amount back within a week, the land-owning agency said on Wednesday.
A DDA spokesperson said that instructions have been issued to designated banks to ensure refund of registration amount to unsuccessful applicants within a week. "Even successful applicants can surrender their flats without any deduction of amount up to 15 days from the issue of demand-cum-allotment letter," he added.
The draw for the DDA scheme was held on July 23 and out of nearly 18,000 flats on offer, only 8,438 flats were finally allotted.
