CAT 2019 registration begins @iimcat.ac.in; check how to apply

NEW DELHI: The online registration window for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 has started on the official website of the exam - iimcat.ac.in.
The candidates who aspire to pursue management programmes at IIMs are advised to visit the official website to register for the CAT 2019 examination.
This year, the CAT 2019 exam will be conducted by the IIM Kozhikode. CAT will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode on November 24, 2019 (Sunday) in two sessions across approximately 156 cities.
CAT 2019 Exam Paper Details
The duration of the CAT 2019 exam will be of 180 minutes. The CAT 2019 exam paper will consist of three sections:
For each section, the candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.

How to Register for CAT 2019?
The candidates can follow the step-by-step guide provided below to register for the examination:
Step 1: Create User ID and Password
- Open the official website of the exam - www.iimcat.ac.in, and click on ‘Register’ button under New Candidate Registration
- It will redirect to a new window where you need to enter Name of Candidate, Date of Birth, Email Address, Country, Mobile Number, and click on Generate OTP
- Enter the OTP sent on your mobile number, then type security code as shown on the page, tick on I Agree button and click on Submit button to generate User ID and Password
- Save the User ID and Password for future reference
Step 2: Login to fill the application form
- Login to the official website using user ID and password
- After login to the website, you will be redirected to the Applicant Details page
- Next, click on "Go to Application Form" link available on the page
- Fill in the required information on each of these tabs - Personal Details, Academic Qualifications, Work Experience, Programmes, Test City, and Payment
- After successful payment, note down the Payment Transaction Number. You will then be redirected to the CAT 2019 website.
