Ludhiana: As part of its ongoing celebrations to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (Gadvasu) on Tuesday set up Guru Gobind Singh study circle to preach teachings of the Sikh guru.
During the introductory session, more than 200 students, teachers and employees participated. Gadvasu vice-chancellor Amarjit Singh Nanda said Guru Gobind Singh study circle is a platform to help boost moral and ethical values among students and develop a sense of dedication and service to lead a truthful life.
Speaking about study circles which exist in other parts of the state, Ravi Bhushan of the university introduced the aims, objectives and shared organizational experiences.
Harish Kumar Verma, director of extension education, said the study circle at the university would bring a positive change in terms of moral values in the lives of the students.
