Vivo S1 has been launched in the Indian market as the first smartphone in the country to be powered by MediaTek’s Helio P65 processor. The Vivo S1 was originally unveiled in Indonesia recently as a mid-range offering. The phone comes with an all-screen fascia with a waterdrop notch above the display to accommodate the selfie camera. The Vivo S1 also gets an in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple primary camera setup at the rear. The smartphone will be competing against the likes of the OPPO K1 and Realme X in the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment in the country.

The Vivo S1 price in India has been set at Rs 17,990 for the 4GB + 128GB base variant. The 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants will cost Rs 18,990 and Rs 19,990, respectively.

The Vivo S1 features a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display bearing a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and the Halo notch above it. The MediaTek Helio P65 processor onboard is paired with the Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. The smartphone comes in a single variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and it supports microSD cards up to 256GB in size. Software-wise, the handset boots FunTouch OS 9 that’s based on Android 9 Pie.
For imaging, the Vivo S1 sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX499 primary camera at the rear, aided by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. For selfies and video calling, the handset has a 32-megapixel shooter on the front. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone port, and GPS with GLONASS. Lastly, a beefy 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support completes the list of the specifications.
