Leaders cutting across party lines, shocked by news of sudden demise of the veteran BJP leader, came together to pay their last respects. Front pages of Indian newspapers on Wednesday announced the late night news of Sushma Swaraj's to the country while noting it as a major loss.

The former Union minister was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences around 9.30 PM in a critical condition and was straight away taken to the emergency ward where a team of doctors attended to her but could not revive the astute politician, AIIMS had said.
