Undergraduate course admission starts

PUNE: Around 110 seats have been increased in physiotherapy course and addition of 50 seats in the nursing course has been approved by the State government in undergraduate health science courses for the academic year 2019-2020.

Two new colleges of physiotherapy; Shiva Trust, Aurangabad’s Nashik College of Physiotherapy (50) and Shiva Trust, Aurangabad’s Aurangabad College of Physiotherapy (60). The newly permitted MVP’s Jijamata College of Nursing, Majalgaon Taluka in Beed district has intake capacity of 50 students.

There are a total number of 4,300 seats available inclusive of the new seat matrix, with 2,820 seats in general colleges and 1,480 seats in women colleges across the state. The new colleges are not mentioned in the NEET-UG brochure, candidates can fill their online preferences for Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPTh), Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOTh), Bachelor of Audiology and Speech, Language Pathology (BASLP), Bachelor in Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO) and BSc in Nursing courses till August 7. The first round of selection list will be declared on August 8.

The colleges are available on the online preference form filling process for academic year 2019-2020, Commissioner of State CET Cell, Anand Rayate said, “We have mentioned these colleges in the preference forms so that candidates get are aware about the new colleges. But, unless the university confirms its affiliation, these colleges will not be allotted to candidates in the first round. Probably, it will be available for the second round.”
