The Narendra Modi led NDA government’s decision to abrogate Article 370 along with Article 35A that gave special privileges to the state of Jammu and Kashmir was opposed by the Congress party in Rajya Sabha. However, few leaders of the Congress party supported the bill opposing the line of their party. Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed his anger over this and said that such leaders must learn the history of Jammu and Kashmir and the Congress and then they should stay in the party.
