Class X girl arrested for fraudulent withdrawal of money from school account

GARHWA: A Class X student and her accomplice Danish Ahmad, who is a community service provider (CSP) operator, was arrested here on Sunday for fraudulently withdrawing Rs. 6.47 lakh from the development fund of her school.
Accused Jyoti Kumari, a student of Government Upgraded High School, Tatidiri under Dhurki police station, had linked her Aadhaar number and bank account with the account of school development fund in collusion with Danish Ahmad and managed to transfer Rs. 6.47 lakh to her bank account, police said.

On Saturday, when the school management found entire amount missing from their account, a complaint was lodged at Dhurki police station.
Neeraj Kumar, Banshidhar Nagar SDPO, said, “Our investigation found that the Aadhaar card of Jyoti Kumari was linked with the account of the school’s development fund and she withdrew Rs. 6.47 lakh, along with Danish Ahmad. The amount was withdrawn 90 times to avoid suspicion.” He added, “Jyoti has confessed to her crime and said she had given the withdrawn amount to her elder sister at Dandai. Cops raided her sister’s house and recovered Rs. 3.84 lakh.”
