During the proceedings of Lok Sabha, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury asked Home minister Amit Shah how Jammu and Kashmir is an ‘internal’ issue. ‘You say that it is an internal matter. But it is being monitored since 1948 by the UN, is that an internal matter? We signed Shimla Agreement and Lahore Declaration, what that an internal matter or bilateral,’ asked Chowdhury. Chowdhury had said earlier during the debate, 'You (the Centre) violated all rules and converted a state into a Union Territory overnight.'
