Firm to launch its globally-renowned superbikes in India

Superbike maker Benelli has announced expansion plans in India to increase its base in the country. The company, which has sold about 1,000 units so far this year, plans to end this calendar year with a sales volume of 2,000 units.

Hyderabad-based Adishwar Auto Ride India, which is assembling and selling the Benelli range of superbikes in India through a network of dealers, is planning to achieve a sales volume of 5,000 units by the end of 2020 when it will have a total dealership network of 60. Currently, the company has 19 dealers in 19 cities and by March 2020, it plans to have 40 dealers, a top executive said.

“We are on an expansion spree. Now that we have addressed all concerns of all stakeholders, we will be introducing more models at different price points to attract new customers. Our expanded network and product portfolio will support our growth,” said Vikas Jhabakh, managing director, Benelli India. He said the company would soon introduce some of latest and globally renowned Benelli superbikes in the Indian market. On Monday, the company launched the all new Leoncino at ₹4.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India) with 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty.
