3 snatchers arrested

Ludhiana: The police on Monday arrested three snatchers and recovered two stolen cellphones, a motorcycle and a sharp-edged weapon from them.
Sandeep Singh, Jaswinder Singh and Lakhwinder Singh, all residents of Jassiyan Road, Haibowal, had been active in the city for the past few months.
Haibowal police station SHO inspector Mohan Lal said, “Armed with sharp-edged weapons, the trio would target commuters in late evening hours and escape with their cellphones and cash.”
A case under sections 379-B (snatching) and 34 (act done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the three.
