400 doctors from four Rayalaseema districts turn up for CME programme

A medical practitioner’s profession was the most respected one in society and doctors must update their knowledge in their domain by participating in interactive conferences and workshops which would help them serve their patients better, said Collector S. Satyanarayana.

Formally inaugurating a Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) workshop at the Government Medical College here on Sunday, attended by 400 doctors from four Rayalaseema districts, Mr. Satyanarayana said learning from the experiences of senior doctors at such events would prove very useful to them.

Heart problems

As cardiac problems were becoming common in society, the BCLS would help provide first-aid and safe treatment to patients, said college principal K.S.S. Venkateswara Rao.

Doctors Srinivasulu, Manoranjan Reddy and Bhanumurthy were among those present.
