Faruk Orman says he is neither bitter nor angry after he walked out of prison a free man after 12 years.
The former 'Lawyer X' client had his murder conviction quashed on Friday after a 'substantial miscarriage of justice' involving Nicola Gobbo.
'Many people will think I have come out of prison bitter and angry. I haven't,' Mr Orman said after his release.

Mr Orman, 37, was surrounded by family, friends and supporters after the court quashed his conviction and declared there would be no retrial.

Orman was handed a 20-year sentence for his alleged involvement in the 2002 murder of Melbourne underworld figure Victor Peirce
He is the first person linked to Ms Gobbo to have his criminal conviction overturned.
Mr Orman was freed after Ms Gobbo was blamed for the 'substantial miscarriage of justice' which had him behind bars for an underworld murder he always denied.
A Supreme Court jury had found him guilty and he was sentenced to two decades in jail in 2009.
He was acquitted on Friday of playing a role in the 2002 killing of Victor Peirce by hitman Andrew 'Benji' Veniamin based on a prosecution case that relied on the word of another of Ms Gobbo's clients.
A successful petition for mercy pushed Mr Orman to the head of the appeal court's queue of former Lawyer X clients, including some of Australia's biggest-name gangsters such as drug lord Tony Mokbel.
Mr Orman said he was looking forward to spending time with his partner and family.
'We have our time now and I look forward to our future together,' he said.
Mr Orman had been sentenced to 20 years in prison and would have had another two years to serve before becoming eligible for parole.
A royal commission is investigating police use of Ms Gobbo as an informer.
Hearings are due to resume on Tuesday.
