LUCKNOW: The
Unnao rape survivor, who sustained serious injuries after her car met with an accident in Rae Bareli district on Sunday, continued to be in a critical condition at the trauma centre of King George's Medical University (
KGMU).
Along with the survivor, her lawyer Mahendra Singh, who suffered head injury and multiple fractures in his limbs, was put on ventilator support and his condition was stated to be extremely critical.
The survivor's aunt was declared brought dead.
After initial tests and first aid, the rape survivor was found to have suffered fractures and internal injuries and showed little positive response to treatment.
KGMU spokesman Dr Sudhir Singh said, "Three patients, including two women, were brought to the trauma centre on Sunday. The elder woman was declared brought dead and the other woman (rape survivor) is critical. The injured man was put on ventilator support."
Later in the evening, the survivor's mother and her siblings reached trauma centre from their village Maakhi in Unnao.
