PATNA: Police on Saturday night arrested a 14-year-old boy on charges of
stalking and
harassing an 11-year-old schoolgirl for the last few days.
City SP (central) Vinay Tiwary said the boy was arrested from his house under the Pirbahore police station area and sent to juvenile remand home on Sunday. The girl, a Class VI student, is a neighbour of the arrested boy.
Tiwary said the girl had lodged a written complaint with Pirbahore police station on Saturday against the boy. She had also accused the boy’s mother, maternal aunt and grandfather of misbehaving with her.
“The girl and her family had approached the boy’s family members on Saturday, but they allegedly misbehaved with them,” the SP added.
SHO of Pirbahore police station Rizwan Ahmed Khan said the girl was going to school on a rickshaw when the accused stopped her and blew smoke in her face while smoking a cigarette. “The girl has accused the boy of harassing her multiple times on her way to school,” the SHO added.
“The girl’s family approached the police after the boy’s family members refused to stop him from harassing her,” the SHO said.
