Cape Town – We're not about judging anyone's parenting style, but we can't honestly ignore the mess that was Armie Hammer's social media choices this weekend.

ICYMI, the Call Me By Your Name actor took to Instagram stories to post what may have been cute to him, but was deeply concerning for most everyone else: a video of his two-year-old son, Ford sucking his big toe like he done never had a big toe before.

What made matters worse was the caption "This happened for a solid 7 minutes" and the hashtag "#footfetishonfleek".

"Inappropriate or funny?" asked Perez Hilton, who managed to capture the video that will live on the internet for all of eternity, even though Hammer only posted it on his story.

According to PEOPLE, Hammer's wife replied on Hilton's post, defending her husband and explaining, "It wasn't seven minutes… more like five seconds. Our son likes to play with people's feet and I put the video on our family stream because this phase is an ongoing joke. Sharing the video on Instagram was def not the best move on A's part, but I can assure you that our children's safety and well-being is always our first priority."

Of course, the internet weighed in too though, many feeling as though Hammer had no business posting a video like that. "WHAT TF ARE YOU DOING POSTING THIS?" asked one user, another said, "I have to stop clicking on the trending topics after this Armie Hammer shit."

One Twitter user said checking why Armie Hammer was trending was "the biggest mistake of [his] life" while another confessed, "Twitter really is the best way to clear up any minor celebrity crushes."

There were memes too – one of Spongebob ferociously brushing his eyes with a toothbrush, another of someone pouring holy water into them.

But this was pretty much all of us when we came back online on what should've been a peaceful Saturday night:
