Indira College of Engineering & Mgmt wins first prize in contest

Pimpri: The Indira College of Engineering and Management (ICEM), Parandwadi, in Maval taluka, has bagged the first prize at a national-level competition held in Noida recently. The competition was organised by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) under the Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) category. 

Altogether 119 teams from all across India participated in the contest.

Team Alchemist Racing, consisting of 25 students from Indira College of Engineering and Management, stood first in the CAE category. 

The winning team’s Faculty Advisor Bhushan Mahajan said, “This was not an easy task but our students have achieved it by defeating all the other teams.”

The teaching and the non-teaching staff and students of ICEM had taken efforts for the last six months under the guidance of Principal Dr Sunil Admuthe, Vice Principal Dr Poorna Shankar and Head of Department Mahesh Bhong. 

IGI Group Director Chetan Wakalkar said that this will play an important role in the placements of students and be helpful to students in their future career growth as well. IGI Chairperson Dr Tarita Shankar congratulated all team members and college staff.
