Fifth NYPD officer dies by suicide since June

A New York City police officer died by suicide on Saturday -- the fifth officer lost since June. NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill says there is a mental health crisis, as departments across the country make it part of their mission to prevent more deaths. Nationwide, more officers die by suicide than are killed in the line of duty.July 28, 2019
